THE CREATOR HAS ONLY ONE THING TO GIVE – HAPPINESS

Many times we struggle within ourselves to understand why we go through hardship and suffering that makes us feel sad. We have a mental picture of a Creator who at His whims, decides to put people through harrowing experiences because He is unhappy with us.

There is only one thing the Creator is capable of giving to mankind. That is unbounded pleasure and fulfillment. All He wants to do is to make us happy all the time and that is what He sends to us every second of the day. He will never send us situations to make us suffer.

Then why do we suffer? We suffer because our vessel to receive the gift of happiness from the Creator has been reprogrammed to see things from materialistic perspective rather than a relationship with the Creator perspective.

We no longer consider things always good but we now have a programme that determines whether an experience is good and evil. That is the result of eating from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil.

Until we understand the Thought of the Creator for all occurrences, we will continue to perceive suffering in our lives.

Stay Happy!

Who Is Responsible For The Negative Things That Happen To Me?

As man, when bad things happen to us, we are always moved to know that some force somewhere is acting against us and the force is either directly from the Creator due to Him forsaking us or someone who hates us. We do not for once want to believe that it may be due to what we have done in the past.

The universal law of cause and effect is enough to convince us that whatever happens to us is as a result of what we have done in the past. For every negative action, there is a reaction. The concept of time, however, creates a separation between cause and effect in our physical world.

When man commits a negative deed, time delays the inevitable consequences. Repercussions from wrongful actions appear at a later date, creating the illusion that these repercussions are random events. Our negative inclination then tempts us to point the finger of blame at the Creator because the original cause – our negative action – is forgotten and hidden somewhere in the past.

When we acknowledge this law of cause and effect, we will be careful about our speech and actions. We should remember the saying. “Whatever you sow, you will surely reap” as well as the biblical injunction, “Yahweh will not leave the guilty unpunished”.

Whatever you face today, accept it and commit to make amends in your life to forestall a recurrence.

Shalom.

Why Do People Marry?

Why do people marry?

If you limit it to companionship or ‘to complete’ oneself; then you have set out on the wrong footing.

People marry for many reasons but all the reasons must be geared towards the manifestation of the will of the Creator for mankind.

Marriage can be a rehabilitation centre for a woman. It could also be a place of refuge (either physical or emotional).

Marriage is the tool for perfection of Creation and not about the selfish feelings of a woman or the lust of a man.

What Picture Are You Seeing?

As reactive beings, it is very important that we get the right picture of whatever is confronting us. It is easy to view an occurrence and be tempted to conclude on what we think is going on. However, things are not like that.

Just like the Yoruba proverb which translates to ‘what is beyond six is more than seven’, what we think is happening may not be the reality. Every one of us must carefully find out what the true reality is before we conclude on what to do.

Finding out the truth is mostly very difficult. Does that mean we should not take decisions? NO! That is why we need to always set our mind to interpret issues not based on what we see or what we feel. Our efforts should be based on a neutral consciousness which makes our reactions not to be based on what we see but what it draws for us.

Our senses, especially our sight, play a very important role in our reactions to issues but the problem with them is that they interpret things on the basis of ‘does it suit me at this time’ and not on ‘what is proper and ideal’.

The only way to get things done is to become aware of what the Creator wants at every time. This can only be known by what can be termed ‘the sixth sense’. This is the sense that brings to us the awareness of the ‘Thought of the Creator’. What is He thinking by allowing this to happen to us?

Knowing fully well that the thought of the Creator towards us is good at all times, we can then perceive all things in a good light. Even when it isn’t pleasant to us, we see the picture of a rough metal being transformed into a good product. It is this picture, we need to see at all times.

When this picture is always in our consciousness, we respond positively to all situations and our happiness is guaranteed.

Shalom!

PUT AN END TO YOUR FEARS

“Each of us must confront our own fears, must come face to face with them. How we handle our fears will determine where we go with the rest of our lives. To experience adventure or to be limited by the fear of it.” – Judy Blume

Everyone experiences fears on a daily basis. There are five different kinds of fear that confront each one of us at different times. These are fear of Rejection, Failure, Loss of control, The Unknown and Pain/Suffering.

Many have alluded to fear as unreal as seen in the common saying that fear is ‘False Evidence Appearing Real’. However, fear is a real emotion. It is part of the reactions of man to events that surround us. Only if we deny our existence can we say fear is not real. As an emotion (negative), fear is a manifestation of energy released within the body. Energy is real and cannot be killed but can only be transformed.

For everyone, what matters most is what should be done to put an end to our fear whether it be rejection or failure or even unknown. Putting an end to it is really to transform the energy of fear to another form of energy (i.e. another emotion).

The reason why we become afraid of things is that we use our limited experiences and knowledge to determine ahead the consequences of an expected outcome. We give too much power to our brain to the extent that we take its decisions as absolute. That is why two different individuals react differently to the same situation. Their brains have dissimilar experiences and knowledge base.

To put an end to whatever fear we may experience, we must shift our dependence on the brain to determine the outcomes and consequences of events to something better and more real. That thing is the Light of the Creator.

The Light of the Creator contains the hidden total plan of the Creator for us and the Universe. This Light is accrued by us when we meditate on the Creator and creation from time to time. This meditation includes studying nature and the sacred texts of religions as it relates to the Creator and creation. By doing so, we acquire the Consciousness of the Creator.

When confronted with fears, through our consciousness, we shine the Light of the Creator on our fears and we see them transform into something positive. Instead of fear, we begin to feel more comfortable and enjoy inner peace. Instead of rejecting and losing the energy inherent in fear, we can transform it into useful energy which will add value to our lives.

For example, a person confronted with the fear of failure may actually continue in the course he was treading if convinced that it is the path. Even if he fails in that task, he will rise to success having known how not to fail again. The best price to pay for success is not to be afraid of failure.

Putting an end to our fears requires each one to attain the consciousness of the Creator and shines HIS Light on our fears.

RECIPE FOR HAPPINESS

Daily Devotional for Saturday 18th of May 2019

Text : Proverbs 8 : 22 – 9 : 6

All men desire to live a happy life. We daily pursue after happiness knowing fully well that it is most singular thing that shows we are in tandem with creation.

What does bring happiness?
In the Book of Proverbs, WISDOM declares “happy are those who keep my ways” (8:32) and “happy is the man who listens to me” (8:34).

Who or what is wisdom?
King Solomon speak of Wisdom as the first of the acts of the Creator. Wisdom came into being before the earth got its shape or any of its contents. Wisdom was there at Creation beside Yahweh like a master workman and has since been delighting in the sons of men.

Wisdom is the very words of the Almighty Creator. No wonder, all through the Book of Proverbs, it keep calling on men to listen to it. In the 8th chapter, it calls on men to “hear instructions and be wise and do not neglect it” (33). It beckons on men to “daily watch at my gates, waiting beside my doors” (34).

Wisdom conclusion is that if “you find me, you find life and obtains favour from Yahweh; but he who misses me injures himself; all who hate me love death” (35 – 36).

In it all, what you are being told is that, the Word of Yahweh is the tool of Creation existing with the Most High before creation; and by it everyone can find happiness.

How well do you know the Word of Yahweh and applying it to your life? There are seven pillars of wisdom; do you know them? How well are you building your life using the seven pillars of wisdom?

All these are available within the Word of Yahweh and walking in the way of wisdom brings happiness which is abundant life.

Shalom!

REAPING THE WHIRLWIND

Daily Devotional for Friday 17th of May 2019

Text : Hosea 8 vs 7 – 8

As children of the Most High, we are used to praying that our enemies will come under the judgement of the Most High for the evil they do towards us. That was also a thing Israel was used to, calling on Yahweh to deliver it from its enemies and punish them.

In our lives, we do not always remember that our actions also will come under the judgement of the Almighty. We transgress His commands and run under His canopy of grace to continue enjoying the works of darkness we do.

Yahweh is a consuming fire (Deuteronomy 4:24) and punishing those who hate Him (Exodus 20:5)

In Hosea chapter 8, it was clear that Israel transgressed the Torah of Yahweh and He was definite that “they shall reap the whirlwind” (vs 7). Israel surely did reap the whirlwind.

As we pray for Yahweh’s revenge on our enemies, surely he also punishes us for our transgression of His Torah. We must be obedient children of the Most High being careful not to sin against Him. As a father disciplines a child he loves, so Yahweh reproves us (Proverbs 311-12) for our good.

However, because of His love towards us; He is calling on us to return to him. In the concluding chapter of Hosea, Yahweh beckoned on Israel to return to Him and He promised to heal the nation.

What are you waiting for? Return to the owner of your soul today. Repent of all your sins and live obediently to the Torah of Yahweh. He will surely bless you mightily.

Shalom!

BECOMING HAPPY EVERY DAY

The Creator in His infinite wisdom has put into each day the goodness that each one of us needs for that day. He has in His heart the desire to make us enjoy unbounded pleasure all the days of our lives and He gives this to us on a daily basis.

For each day, there are goodies that He releases for us to make us happy all through the day. We all seek to be happy but yet we do not get that happiness because we fail to break into the goodness of the day. The reason we fail to get the goodness is because the goodness is hidden in a shell which masks the goodness that has been released for us by the Creator for that day.

The shell could be illness, difficulties, suffering, disappointment, frustrations, failures, etc. The shell could be anything negative which pushes us away from the goodness of that day. This is likened to a cell which has the negative electron enveloping the positive proton.

For example if someone is ill, the person’s thought will not allow him to enjoy the good things that the Creator will bring to him for that day because he will focus on the negative things the illness has brought to him. He will not be able to achieve all that could make him happy for that day. Another example is, when someone want to get something from a place and he meets an irritable person on the way who makes him angry. The anger will make him miss the goodness of that day.

So as people looking for happiness, we should be able to confront all negative challenges that might come our way in a positive manner. We must see through the difficulty, face it with open arms and bring forth positive reactions. Those positive reactions must be actions of kindness and love. By doing that, we will break into the goodness of that day and receive the happiness the Creator intended for us.

We must not return anger with anger, frustration with frustration, but must be able to return all the frustration, anger or illness with a heart full of kindness and love.

Shalom!

FOR ALL RELIGIOUS PEOPLE

I will quickly drop this here. It is for everyone irrespective of your religious affiliation.

The goal of every religious activity you engage in is to do what the Creator wants you to do. Every religion has developed creeds and practices that they claim are directly from the Creator.

There is one thing that every religion teaches its followers – the Creator loves you and has great blessings to give you. This is where the problem of religion arises.

Adherents of religion are so fixated on the blessings that the Creator wants to give and enjoying His love. To everyone, this will only come when they follow the rules of their religion.

Please, take this to heart: The Creator will only be delighted in you when you become like Him. He created you in HIS image and his delight is when you reveal that image hidden in you by the corruption of the flesh.

Check your Holy Book and look out for the characters of the Creator as stated in it. That should be your goal and not the rewards dangled at you by your religious leaders. Once you become like the Creator, creation will bow to you.

WORRY LEADS TO UNHAPPINESS

One of the causes of unhappiness is worrying. Why do we worry about things? The answer is that we tend to attach ourselves to all that we possess because we believe that they are ours due to our efforts. Therefore, it becomes very scary when we think we might lose them.

Have you wondered that you hardly get worried that someone will steal or damage what belongs to another? How many of us will stay awake all night worrying whether armed robbers will visit the man down the street?

The simple truth is that all we have is a gift from the Creator. He is the one who gives us what we have and we should not detach those things from their source. Once we disconnect our possessions from their source, they stop being transmitters of happiness and become objects of worry.

Everything is from the Creator and He alone determines their lifespan. Use and enjoy them as long as they last. Do not see them as yours but as gifts from the Creator. When we focus on the giver of the gift instead of the gift, we put ourselves in a secured relationship and trusts that the giver will give us another gift if he withdraws this particular gift from us.

Do away with worry and enjoy whatever you have now. Stay Happy!

NOURISHING YOUR SOUL

Everyone has a body and a soul. What is a soul? The soul is the spiritual or immaterial part of a human being and it is immortal. With the soul, we connect with the Creator because the soul is from Him. It is the soul that can lift us high as we need to go.

Many people do not take cognisance of their soul. They live their life, responding to the demands of the body. With the body they connect with this world leaving out the Essence of the Most High. As the world was ‘without form and void’ at creation; so their life is, without the imput of the soul.

When they clog their life with disjointed activities to please their body, a time will come when they will ask themselves in despair, “Is this what life is all about?”. At that time, they would have lost their peace and happiness.

By acknowledging that within your body is a soul, the soul that can give your life purpose and lift it above the mundane pursuits of everyday life, you begin to put the pieces of your fragmented life in order.

To be a happy, wholesome and healthy human being, your body and soul must work in perfect harmony. This is where the difficulty lies in many people’s pursuit of happiness – the soul and the body are in constant conflict. While the body is basically looking to satisfy its needs of pleasure, the soul is looking for transcendence – ways to unite us with the Creator. Simply put, the body has a desire to receive to please self while the soul’s desire is to receive for the purpose of sharing. We must accept that these two forces are in us and we must do all we can to unite their desires.

While many will seek to create special moments to satisfy the soul’s yearning through spiritual activities, they still fall back into lack of fulfillment and unhappy state when they are confronted with the urges of the body that they have to succumb to.

The only way to unite body and soul is to first accept that the Creator is far higher than our limited selves. We then allow the soul to take charge of the body, disciplining it and making it recognize its true purpose on earth. By this submission of the body, it can then rise to its true prominence when its actions are not to satisfy itself but to bring the divine upon the temporal.

It is then that our daily activities are infused with the Essence of the Creator. No longer are we eating just for eating sake, but we eat to satisfy the Creator. That is how we will handle all our activities. Then, we overcome selfishness and live our life loving our neighbours. By doing so, we are nourishing our souls to attain a state of unending happiness.

True happiness is the fusion of body and soul dedicated to a higher cause, a cause that benefits humankind and gives meaning and inner peace to the individual in the process.

CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY

It is said that one of the ways to be happy is to accept whatever the Creator brings our way. That is what is called ‘hugging our chaos’.

However, happiness will not be attained if we hold on to the sadness of our chaos.

The quality of happiness in the Light of the Creator does not rest on a person that is sad but rather the quality of sadness. This is because the Upper Realm gives us according to our state of mind. You cannot be sad and draw happiness.

Choose to be Happy!
